Journalist César Mateu presents the magazine La Cartuja 24

The project looks at our Copa del Rey final from behind the scenes

Journalist César Mateu in collaboration with creative and editorial director Judit López Repiso presented the magazine La Cartuja 24, which compiles and recalls all those feelings experienced on 6 April 2024 in the final of the Copa del Rey, this Tuesday in the Sala 1916 of the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

César delves into the personal stories of Martin Valjent, Dani Rodríguez, Vedat Muriqi and Dominik Greif by going to their hometowns and recounting their testimonies and those of the people who have been part of their respective lives.

It also includes the views of media professionals and brings us closer to the stories of Josep Alorda, a film director who started out as a cameraman at RCD Mallorca, and Vladi, whose scissors have cut and continue to cut the hair of several of the club's players.

The memories of another era, the vital reflection of Abdón Prats and the privileged help of the Mallorcan Rocío Carrera, founder of the NGO Bamba Project, tie the knot to a magazine of identity, emotion, pride and love for the red and black colours.

Dani Rodríguez, present at the event, praised César's work: "When he contacted me I thought it was a spectacular project. The emotion that he transmits is in the magazine. I encourage all Mallorquinistas to read it because we didn't win the championship, but it will always remain in their memories."

For his part, Valjent said: "I think it is very important that there are still people who do all this work to bring out a magazine like this to be able to tell everything that La Cartuja meant. I imagine it must have been a very difficult job and I am very happy that I have been able to participate a little in it. In the future it can be useful for Mallorquinismo."
