Carlos Muñoz has renewed his contract with RCD Mallorca and will continue as coach of the Juvenil División de Honor with the aim of buiding on this year's positive work.
The coach's deal extends his stay to seven years working in our academy system and his fifth as Juvenil División de Honor coach having won a historic double by winning the league and the Copa del Rey in 2023/2024.

On the season: "It has been a very positive season. The truth is that we had some difficulties in the preseason, but afterwards the team has evolved very notably and we are happy and satisfied with the evolution of the boys at an individual level and consequently with the team."
On the renewal: "First of all, I am grateful to both Miquel Toni [director of Fútbol Base] and Pablo [Ortells] for the interest they have shown in my continuity and in continuing to belong to the Mallorcan entity. I'm looking forward, above all, to this new context of the club, where so much has been invested, where it is growing a lot. I'm eager and excited to be part of it and, mainly, to make the player a protagonist and to get him to the reserve team and, above all, to the first team."
On the new challenge: "Yes, the work being done at the grassroots level in Son Bibiloni is very good and every year we are taking that step to be among the best. Not being the goal, in the end it is a consequence of all the work that is done in the base. Giving the player tools, not only in football but also personally, to try to be at the top of the league, but above all, to nurture, as I said before, both the subsidiary and the first team, and that at a certain point they get to consolidate there."
On why the División de Honor is special: "Above all, that it is very competitive, that both players and environments are very appreciative and that it is an outline of what will later become a more real soccer world. In youth football there is a certain degree of inexperience, of lack of things, but in the end that is what makes it very striking because you see the process, the evolution of the player and that he is as well prepared as possible for amateur, semi-professional or even professional fotball."
