RCD Mallorca pays tribute to Lucien Müller

The club expresses its condolences to the family and friends of one of the most important figures in our history

RCD Mallorca wishes to express its deepest condolences on the passing of Lucien Müller, at the age of 91.

Mallorca fans bid farewell today to one of the most important figures in our history.

Born in Bischwiller (Alsace), Müller arrived on the island in December 1981, replacing Antonio Oviedo, and left an indelible mark on the club. Under his leadership, Mallorca achieved the historic promotion to the First Division in the 1982-83 season, a feat that marked the rebirth of the club and remains vivid in the memory of an entire generation of supporters.

He also managed the team for 13 matches in the final stretch of the 1987/88 season, replacing Serra Ferrer, but was unable to prevent relegation.

A former Real Madrid and FC Barcelona player with a long and distinguished career on the touchline, Lucien Müller was known for his leadership, his character, and the confidence he instilled in the squad during one of the most crucial moments in the club's history.

RCD Mallorca joins in mourning with his family, friends, and loved ones. Rest in peace.
