RCD Mallorca pays tribute to fans to have reached half a century or more as season ticket holders

More than 150 fans met with the president and CEO to receive special recognition for their support

More than 150 season ticket holders with 50 or more years of membership at RCD Mallorca experienced a very special and unforgettable day this Thursday.

At the event recognising the loyalty of these fans, held at the Trui Teatre, the club's president, Andy Kohlberg, and the CEO of Business, Alfonso Díaz, presented fans with a medal and a certificate.

The event, which brought together more than 300 people, including season ticket holders and guests, featured a speech by Kohlberg, who expressed his gratitude and celebrated what he considers "a relationship based on trust." "Fifty years as season ticket holders speaks of commitment, credibility, and a connection that has transcended generations," added the president of RCD Mallorca, who emphasized that "very few organizations can proudly say that they have walked alongside their people for so long, learning, adapting, and growing together." He also offered thanks "on behalf of everyone who is part of the club" to the season ticket holders, who, according to the American, "have been part of the past that shaped us, the present that challenges us, and the future we are building together."

The event was divided into four distinct sections, each dedicated to a specific era of the club: 1960-1975, 1976-1992, 1993-2016, and 2016-present. Albert Salas, director of RCD Mallorca Studios, reviewed the main events of those years and interviewed key figures from the different periods.

In the first section, he spoke with former players Julià Mir and Joan Forteza, and season ticket holder Joan Roig. In the second, he interviewed former players Damià Amer and Rafa Gallardo. And in the third, he spoke with Jovan Stankovic, who played for Mallorca between the late 1990s and early 2000s. During each of the first three sections, season ticket holders received their medals individually in groups. In the final speech, Kohlberg, coinciding with his 10th year as Club President, addressed all those present.

There were also moving tributes to figures who have sadly passed away recently, which were met with enthusiastic applause: Joan Morey, the first season ticket holder; Miquel Contestí, the longest-serving president in the Club's history; and former coach Lucien Müller.

For his part, Alfonso Díaz praised the loyalty of the season ticket holders: "We wanted to recognize your constancy, your trust, your commitment, your love and respect for these colors. Because you are the driving force behind us, a fundamental part of our journey. In a world where everything changes rapidly, there is something that endures and has immeasurable value: loyalty. Each of you represents much more than a season ticket number. You represent shared stories, challenges overcome, and a trust that drives us to be better, to innovate, and to grow responsibly."

In short, it was an emotional afternoon, full of pride and remembrance, which served to recognize, honor, and thank the longest-serving season ticket holders of a club, RCD Mallorca, which is celebrating 110 years of history.
