Dani Rodríguez and Amath Ndiaye reflect on the 2-1 defeat to RCD Espanyol
The pair spoke to the media after a disappointing afternoon at the Visit Mallorca Estadi
Dani Rodríguez and Amath Ndiaye were on post-match duties after our 2-1 defeat to RCD Espanyol. Javi Puado and Landry Dimata’s goals either side of half-time cancelled out Ndiaye’s second-half strike at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. Find out what the pair had to say about the result below:
Dani Rodríguez: "We knew it was an important match, but not definitive. We were superior in both the first and second half. We couldn't come back and in an isolated moment of play they scored the second. There's still a long way to go and we have to keep going. At the end of the game they celebrated as if they had won the league, but we are still ahead in the standings. There are still a lot of games left and we're going to keep working.”
Amath Ndiaye: "Diego López was good. He made three good saves. We have to keep working to prepare for the next game at home. On the counter attack they scored the second in what was the second chance they had. We have to think about getting the three points against UD Almería next.”
