Cucho Hernández: ‘Son Moix has to be a fortress’

The striker looked ahead to our clash with Real Valladolid in an exclusive interview with Play Red

Juan ‘Cucho’ Hernández believes Son Moix can be the difference ahead of our clash with Real Valladolid.

Having helped the side to a 4-1 win against Valencia CF in our first game back at home following the winter break, the striker is keen for the side to recapture that form as we enter a period of fixtures which could be crucial to survival - starting with Los Pucelanos this Saturday.

“It’s obvious that in this league to play as the away team is complicated but we knew that Son Moix is different,” he told Play Red. “With our fans we feel this and we are going to give it everything to get three important points. Son Moix has to be a fortress. We have only been in the relegation zone for three match days. Against Real Valladolid, we have the opportunity to pull another team into the fight for survival.”

Missing a large chunk of the campaign due to injury, Cucho is yet to get himself on the scoresheet since his arrival on loan but says when he does open his account for RCD Mallorca, it could be the first of many.

"I’m sure that when I score the first, many more will come,” he added. “You don’t have to despair, the league does not end on Saturday and you have to be calm. It’s true that right now important games are in front of us and it’s important to get points.”
