Cucho Hernández, Manolo Reina and Take Kubo reflect on beating Levante U.D.

The trio spoke to the media following an impressive performance at Visit Mallorca Estadi

Goals from Cucho Hernández and Take Kubo secured a crucial victory in our fight for survival as we overcame Levante U.D. 2-1 at Visit Mallorca Estadi. The goalscorers and capitan Manolo Reina spoke the media about our positive performance, the goals and where that leaves us in the table.

On the game...

Cucho Hernández: "We haven't bothered to do the math. If you win your games, I'm sure some of those above will mess up. With today's victory we put pressure on our rivals and now we have to think about Sunday's game. We’re very happy, mathematically it’s a joy and we're very excited. It's going to be difficult, but playing like today, we’ve got a good chance of saving ourselves.”

Manolo Reina: “"We knew it was an important match. The team has been aware of that at all times. We knew we had dangerous team in front of us and we managed to get a clean sheet – that was a must. We have continue along this and how we’ve performed defensively. This victory has been good for us. It gives us confidence and now it's time to move on."

Take Kubo: "I'm very happy for the goal. The result was what we were looking for and after the game, the team is happy. We’re playing matches the way we want and believing at all times. We must continue like this. I had told[ [Fernando] Maestro that the next goal was going to be for him, but it seemed like he didn't remember."

On the fight for survival...

Cucho Hernández: “"There's no need to send a message. The fans have been there since Segunda B. Our message is on the pitch and after today's game it’s there. If they believe, we'll believe even more. We're working collectively in order to achieve our target. We have to play against very difficult teams, but we’ll work because nothing is impossible and we believe in our goal."

Manolo Reina: “In every match we will have to give our best. We’ll try not to do the math and now it’s time to go to Seville.  If we want to achieve the goal we must take a step forward before one of those teams [in front of us]."

Take Kubo: "We play on Sunday against Sevilla. We will be at our best, try not to lock ourselves in and go after them. Hopefully we can get the three points at Pizjuán."
