Antonio Sánchez, Aleksandar Sedlar and Franco Russo analyse our 1-1 draw with Sevilla

The trio spoke to club media after an eventful evening at the Visit Mallorca Estadi

Antonio Sánchez, Aleksandar Sedlar and Franco Russo spoke to club media after our 1-1 draw with Sevilla at Visit Mallorca Estadi. The trio discussed the match, the team and what’s in store for the side:

On the match…

Antonio Sánchez: "It was a very even match. We played good offensive football, while being solid in defence. Sevilla is a very tough opponent and you can't control them for 90 minutes - they are a great team. We had our moments, but so did they.”

Sedlar: "In the last minute we had a scare just like we did at the Mestalla and against Real Sociedad. Today the VAR intervened and we took a point against a difficult opponent like Sevilla. Now we focus on Cádiz.”

Russo: "The team worked very well. We knew what we were up against. In the second half, they were on top of their game and we knew how to suffer. It is a point that tastes like glory.”

About the team…

Antonio Sánchez: "There have been many moments where I have been working alone because of the injury. I’m very happy with the goal. Despite the result, I think the team could have got something more. I believe that both at home and away we can compete against everyone.”

Sedlar: "We are competing very well with everyone. It's difficult to recover psychologically after winning 2-0 and then drawing, but we are competing with everyone. We will continue and try to take the three points from Cádiz.”

Russo: "Fighting and competing is our DNA. Last week was bad because the team competes and you are ahead for a long time. The matches are 90 minutes and we compete against everyone.”
