Vicente Moreno: ‘We will have to have a great game to win against Levante UD

The manager looked ahead to our hosting of the Los Granotas in his pre-match press conference

Vicente Moreno says his side are fully focused on ensuring we register an important three points in our fight for survival against Levante UD this Thursday evening.

Five points currently separate us from safety with the visitors from Valencia sitting comfortably in 12th position, although the boss believes we will have to be at our best to get the four remaining fixtures that await us off to the best start.

“In all accounts, we are going to try and win all our matches and that’s the most important thing,” he told journalists during a video press conference. “From there, it makes sense to think that we’ll look at our direct rivals, but our main concern is winning.”

"Levante UD is a team that perhaps doesn’t receive as much attention in terms of media, but is rewarded by having done very well over many years. I know them well, both the team and the coach, with the latter having already having taken charge of the most games in La Liga for the club. It was the first team I trained at and alll I can say about the club is positive. It has a template to make changes and to work within its tactical format,"

Having recorded an emphatic first three points at home against Celta Vigo with a 5-1 victory in our prior fixture at Visit Mallorca Estadi, Moreno is keen to see his side produce an identical performance.

"I hope we put in a game similar to the one against Celta Vigo, but that has not been the ordinary. Not in the performance itself, which is something we do often, but in getting such a result. We have to have the best possible game, be at our best and then hope luck and the small details fall on our favour. We need to win as there's little margin left."
