Vicente Moreno: ‘The team always tries to compete, we’re on the right track’
The manager looked ahead to RCD Mallorca's clash with CD Osasuna this Thursday at his pre-match press conference
Vicente Moreno says RCD Mallorca must continue in the right direction ahead of our clash with CA Osasuna at Son Moix.
Thursday evening marks Los Bermellones’ second game in the space of five days, but the manager is keen for his side to make the most of a hectic late October fixture schedule.
“The game that worries me most is CA Osasuna, we will have to be the best team possible,” he said at his pre-match press conference. “It’s what has worried me most since Sunday, because of the rush of matches.
“I have faced Jagoba Arrastae many times and he is a great manager, it will be difficult and the are a dangerous team. One of our best players from last season [Pervis Estupiñán] also joined them last year.”
Having suffered a disappointing defeat away at CD Leganés on Sunday, Moreno says his squad are on the right track and must not let their heads drop.
“There will be difficulties during the season and we have to avoid ups and downs,” he continued. “We have to keep up or keep our level because tomorrow we will play against a good team in the division that we know well.
“The team always tries and competes. we are on the right track and everything will be more difficult from what we have previously experienced.”
