Vedat Muriqi, Martin Valjent and Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta analyse our win against Atletico Madrid

The trio spoke to the media after our 1-0 win against Diego Simeone’s side

Vedat Muriqi, Martin Valjent and Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta spoke the media after our 1-0 win at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. Muriqi’s goal was the difference as our final league game of 2022 ended with three points. Find out what the trio had to say below:

Vedat Muriqi

"Very happy and content. As I always say, I am a striker and I have to score goals. With my goals, if we win points, there is no one happier than me tonight. Thank you very much to the fans, they give me a lot of confidence. Besides, the match was late and midweek and the fans were crazy.

"We have played very good games. We are improving a lot with the ball and without, now we are lucky too. We do things well on the pitch and luck follows us."

Martin Valjent

"That union between everyone, the fans, the players and the coaching staff is very pleasing. We suffer a lot in the matches and we defend them a lot but when we do things well together, they come out.

"We have had the luck we lacked in other home games. In these three months at home we played good matches, but we were always missing something and today we had it in that save in that last minute and it gave us great joy.

"These are important points against teams that you don't expect at the beginning of the season but we still have a cup match to play, and then we'll prepare for what's to come."

Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta

"The truth is that there has been a great atmosphere, what a pleasure. When your strength fails you, the whole crowd pulls together and gives us life. Together we have been able to hold on and get three golden points.

"The team is doing a spectacular job. We have very clear ideas and everyone is working very hard. We are very eager and we feel very well and in a good dynamic. We are very happy to get three more points. Now we have to win the cup game on Saturday and rest a bit.”
