Samu Costa, Omar Mascarell, Pablo Torre and Martín Demichelis reflect on the 1-1 draw with Valencia CF

Find out what our players and the boss had to say about the point

Samu Costa, Omar Mascarell, Pablo Torre and Martin Demichelis reflected on our 1-1 draw with Valencia CF. Find out what they had to say below:

Samu Costa:

On match assessment: We deserved much more. Valencia leaves with a point and are very happy. We leave angry; we deserved it, and sometimes the ball just doesn't go in.

On set pieces: The manager told us the match would be decided by small details. I want to continue helping the team, and my greatest pride would be staying in the top division, and we're on track.

On the next match: Now we have to recover. We're staying here at the stadium to recover. We're very hungry to keep going.

Omar Mascarell:

On the draw: A bittersweet feeling, but we have to be proud of the match and the team. We were superior to Valencia, we had chances to win the game, but unfortunately, the ball just wouldn't go in. The momentum is excellent, and we're on a good run.

On set pieces: At this stage of the season, set pieces are crucial, and they're working very well. Hopefully, they'll continue to bring us more goals.

On playing center back: I feel comfortable, and the team supports me. I'm confident, and it's a position I've played before. I have to adapt to a few things, but I'm very happy to be able to help the team in that position.

On next match: We have to go there with a winning mentality. We're on a great run, and we're eager to achieve more.

Pablo Torre:

On the draw: We leave with a strange feeling. We played a good match, but I think we were the better team. We're going for Alavés. We went out to win, and we need to, but we're confident that we're doing things right.

On playing away from home: It's going to be a difficult match against a direct rival. Winning would be incredible, and that's what we're going to try to do.

Martín Demichelis:

On the draw: The feeling is fantastic. Seeing the lads compete like this makes me proud. I feel like we're getting closer and closer to our goal. Did we let two points slip away? Yes, probably. There are six games left, but when you see how the team competes...

On set pieces: I told the lads at halftime that maybe the smallest detail could have put us ahead. We couldn't extend our lead, and well, the opposition left happy with a point.

On the next match: I'm convinced of who we are and what we want to achieve. We'll try to be the protagonists, starting right now.
