Salva Sevilla says RCD Mallorca have the necessary quality to return to form against former club RCD Espanyol this Sunday.
Los Bermellones have registered just one point from a possible 15 in their last five games and although sat in the relegation zone, Sevilla is confident a united front can see the side cut a run of bad results.
“Now is when you see the groups: the footballers and the fans,” he said at his pre-match press conference. “It’s the moment to be united and I think we can return to form. The little details mark matches and they have not been on our side but we have to keep trying.
“We also want to see ourselves with all the details improving in the two areas, not only when we defend. We’re working to the limit at every play in every match."
Having made just under half a century of appearances for RCD Espanyol across three years, Sevilla is well aware of the quality RCD Mallorca will face this weekend.
“It’s a very important game in every sense," he continued. "We need to do things well because they have important players and make ourselves strong at home. We have to give thanks to the fans, they are always with us and we want them to be happy.”
