Salva Sevilla, Brian Oliván, Antonio Sánchez analyse our 1-1 draw with Cádiz CF

The trio spoke to the media after sharing the points at the Nuevo Mirandilla

Salva Sevilla, Brian Oliván, Antonio Sánchez were on post-match media duties after our 1-1 draw with Cádiz CF. Alvaro Negredo’s penalty in injury time cancelled out Iddrisu Baba’s first-half strike to ensure the points were shared at the Nuevo Mirandilla. Find out what the trio had to say to the media after the result below:

On the match...

Salva Sevilla: "We leave with a bad taste in our mouths. They didn't come close to our area. When we had the best chance, we failed and we leave with the feeling of having lost two points.”

Brian Oliván: "In the last three away games we've conceded in stoppage time. We do things too well to take away so little. We controlled the whole game. In the second half they didn't come close.”

Antonio Sánchez: "Once again, the team played a great match. We have to think: we can't lose so many points after good matches. They are errors in concentration.”

On the team…

Salva Sevilla: "We have to look at the positives and think that we have added points again away from home, but we have to correct mistakes that are making us lose points in the final minutes.”

Brian Oliván: "We are annoyed right now. In the next training session, we have to sit down and see why this is happening to us in the final few minutes. Up to 89th, 90th minutes we are playing very complete matches.”

Antonio Sánchez: "Now we have to recover and disconnect. We have to think about Elche and go for the three points to get back to winning ways.”

On the VAR…

Salva Sevilla: "It creates a lot of confusion for us. We don't know very well what the criteria is. From almost having a red card for them, it has become a breath of fresh air for them. We have to continue."

Brian Oliván: "Not even the referee was clear. The small details went against us. The team deserves more points.”

Antonio Sánchez: "The way the referee addresses us is as an inferior. They always treat us with a contempt that we don't deserve. We have to complain because otherwise everything ends up the same. We have to change it.”
