RCD Mallorca complete the signing of Jordi Mboula

The striker joins the club on a permanent transfer on a four-year deal from Ligue 1 side AS Mónaco

We’re delighted to announce we’ve completed the signing of exciting forward Jordi Mboula from AS Mónaco.

The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the club which will run until the 30th of June 2024 and arrives at the Visit Mallorca Estadi with experience at both national and international levels.

The striker is a graduate of FC Barcelona’s La Masia academy system and featured on 12 occasions for the reserve side in Segunda B, particularly pressing in the uEFA Youth League with 12 goals in 15 appearances.

Mboula joined AS Mónaco in the summer transfer window of 2017 as an 18-year-old before going onto play 12 fixtures in Ligue 1 and making his Champions League debut. Last year the forward was on loan at SD Huesca where he helped Los Oscenses achieve promotion.

Having also featured at every level of Spain’s national side from under-16s to the under-19s, Mboula says he can't wait to get started with his new team-mates.

"I am very happy, very excited and looking forward to start getting minutes,” he told the club’s website. “I want to contribute to the team and I’ve very clear in regards to the objective: returning RCD Mallorca to La Liga. I can tell fans that I look forward to meeting them and hope they can soon return to the stadium soon to cheer us on.”

On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to wish Jordi a warm welcome to the Visit Mallorca Estadi.
