Pablo Torres is here.
The exciting midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the club after we agreed a deal with FC Barcelona.
Find out what our new signing had to say below about his move, his first impressions and what the future holds.
How do you feel? I am very happy. For a couple of weeks I had already told myself that I wanted to come here, that I wanted to enjoy Mallorca and I'm really looking forward to meeting the fans, my team-mates and to start training tomorrow.
Why Mallorca? Since I first spoke to Jagoba [Arrasate] and Pablo [Ortells] on a video call we had when I was at the European Championship, they gave me a lot of confidence. I needed it. I felt that this could go very well and I'm very happy to be here.
And how was your first contact with Arrasate? It went very well. He gave me a bit of his idea of the game. In the end, I like football and I know the players that are here, who are of a very high level.
Were you aware of the excitement generated by your arrival? From what I was told and from what my friends showed me, yes, I was aware of it. I try to stay away from it. In fact, I only have Instagram and I try not to look at the other stuff, but my friends kept telling me about it.
What challenges have you set yourself? On a collective level, to have a great year, to try to improve on last year, which was a great year for Mallorca. And on an individual level, to try to enjoy every weekend providing assists, play, goals and making the fans enjoy it.
Any messages for the fans? Thank you very much for the welcome. I hope to see you soon at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix and I'm sure it will be a great year.
