Muriqi, Gayà and Copete reflected upon our 1-0 win against Valencia

Find out what the trio had to say as we got back to winning ways

Vedat Muriqi, Josep Gayà and Jose Copete were on post-match media duties after we beat Valencia 1-0 thanks to Muriqi’s 14th goal of the season. Find out what the trio had to say below:

Vedat Muriqi

“I’m happy because it has been a good season for me and for the team. RCD Mallorca is now definitively safe and today I scored my 14th goal of the season. Hopefully more will come. There are still two games to go and let's see if I can score more.

"Last week we gave a bad impression of the team. It was the first game we played very badly away from home and I’m very happy that we have changed that image. We changed quickly and today we won the three points.

"It's a pleasure for me to receive this affection from everyone. I'm not doing anything special to be good. I show what I have inside me, on and off the pitch. I'm happy and hopefully we will continue like this for many years to come.”

Josep Gayà

"I'm super happy because I was able to come on for 15 minutes and we were able to get the win. It was normal for them to press because they were playing for their lives, but we were able to defend perfectly.

"There are now two games left in which we will try to give everything to win the six points.”

Copete

"It was a good game from the team on a general level. We saw a more recognisable RCD Mallorca [compared ot last week] and I felt comfortable in many phases of the game and I tried to give my best on the pitch.

"We had that bittersweet taste from the last game against Almeria, and we had that thorn in our side. I think that Javier Aguirre's RCD Mallorca has returned: solid and with chances and a clean sheet.”
