The Red academy team has drawn in their visit to Sabadell thanks to a wonderful thundering strike by Angel. The equalizer came just a minute after the first goal. Both teams had more opportunities to increase the score but failed to do so.
The game started rather intense for both outfits. They looked for the ball and try to open the score. First locals tried through Carreño but Parera wasn’t surprised. However, our youth team was the first to ignite. Juanjo passed it short to Angel. The winger faced defenders for the dribble and took a swerving shot that finished in Ezkieta’s goal.
A minute later, Sabadell answered, down the right wing. Gaspar crossed the ball for a header and their forward fired home. In less than 15 minutes, the score moved twice. Little after, Alberto was close to take advantage of the a bad deflection of the local goalie but the shot went high.
The pace of the first half went down. Baba did try to surprise the local keeper in blue and white, but was unlucky. Substitutions gave a breath of fresh air and chances came along.
Ian did not hit the bull’s eye against Parera while in the other goal Tia, attempted to score in a top corner long-ranger, so did Stephen when Tia was alone to hit the jackpot, and even Cedric after his long spell in the sidelines, missed another backpass from Joan Sastre. All failed attempts. On the other hand, Sabadell have had their chances. A very active Migue sent many balls into the box and luckily for Mallorca didn’t meet a scoring leg.
