Match Report: RCD Mallorca 2-0 CE Felantix

Valverde and Javier Albín are on target in a comfortable win at Son Bibiloni

Valverde and Javier Albín struck either side of half-time as we overcame CE Felantix 2-0 at Son Bibiloni to go eight points clear as league leaders.

Our early pressure would be rewarded in the 12th minute when Conejero slipped past two markers and teed up Valverde for his first goal in red and black.

The opener seemed to kill the game’s earlier tempo and chances were then limited for the remained of the first half as we headed into the break with a slender lead.

The restart read from the same script as the first half as the visitors were pinned back into their own half having to deal with wave after wave of offensive move.

We put the three points beyond doubt in the 88th minute when Adrián Montalban skipped past his opposite number to find Albīn unmarked in the box who could make no mistake with the goal at his mercy.
