Luis García Plaza: 'There’s a lot of equality in our squad, nobody gets out of working’

The manager spoke to the media in his pre-match press conference ahead of our hosting of Málaga CF

Luis García Plaza says the hard work his side are putting in on and off the pitch is beginning to pay off in front of goal ahead of our hosting of Málaga CF on Thursday evening.

We head into Matchday 9 looking to extend our unbeaten run to eight games, although the boss believes los bermellones are doing the right things both in offence and attack.

“I’ve very satisfied with the squad,” he told journalists via a remote press conference. “We are an intense team and we need fresh players. Until now, we have been able to achieve that.

“It was strange to have only scored four goals. It wasn’t normal, but I was never worried because we were creating chances. We were only missing putting them away. Keeping clean sheets is very difficult. I only ask that when someone does score against us, we don’t lose the game.

Sitting just two points behind us in the Segunda División, Plaza has warned against underestimating Los Albicelestes.

“Málaga are a very good team, despite not being one of the favourites. They among the teams at the top because they are doing things well. It’s a very intense team and if they manage to disorganise you, they will kill you.”
