It has been a busy few weeks for Lucas Bergström.
Having made his debut against Atlètic Sant in the Copa del Rey, just a few days later he faced Real Betis in LaLiga.
He has since remained in goal for the following fixtures, keeping a clean sheet in the process, and spoke to club media to reflect on what hs been an intense period.
On the last month: "It's definitely been an eventful month. I made my debut in the cup and then had the opportunity to play in LaLiga. And, of course, it culminated in the home win against Getafe. So it's been a very good month for me. I'm very happy."
On his first start in LaLiga: "I found out a few days before, which helps, but you try to process it and prepare as best you can. But you don't know how you're going to feel until you actually play. I think I prepared well and was ready. And, obviously, despite the result, I was very proud of my debut."
On his first home game: "I think I was more excited to play in front of our fans and see what it felt like to play at home. I think it's a great atmosphere and I love playing at home. Obviously, there was perhaps more pressure because we lost the previous game and we needed to get points, as we've played quite well at home. It's something we want to continue, and maybe that creates some pressure, but pressure is a good thing."
O the crowd and his teammates: "When you can help the team and receive the appreciation of the fans and the players, that's the best feeling. That's why you're a goalkeeper. It's like you get gratification or satisfaction from it, so it was really great."
On what's to come: "Some games go better and others worse. You don't dwell too much on the results because there's always another game ahead, but, without a doubt, when things are going well, you use all of that as fuel. But, at the same time, the results don't influence me for the next game because there's another opportunity."
On team spirit: "I think the foundation of football is that it's a team sport, and the better you play as a team, the greater the chances of winning, regardless of tactics, principles, or anything else. But if we're able to stay united and we're a tough opponent to beat, one that's hard to score against, we'll be one step closer to achieving the result.
