Last Saturday was a festive day of sport and nostalgia at the Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensi as the RCD Mallorca veterans faced Legends 4 Victory, a team made up of German football legends.
The result (a victory for the visiting team) was secondary. On the pitch, the quality of former Mallorca players like Jovan Stankovic, Ariel Ibagaza, Nanu Soler, and Francisco 'Paquete' Higuera was on full display. For the visitors, names like Rubén de la Red, Marcell Jansen, Tim Wiese, and the Brazilian Aílton stood out.
