The forward spoke to media at his pre-match press conference before our clash with SD Ponferradina
Jordi Mboula believes he’s yet to hit his best form for the club ahead of our hosting of SD Ponferradina on Sunday evening.
Having already made five appearances this season following his summer arrival from AS Monaco, the young forward says he is enjoying his start to life at the Visit Mallorca Estadi.
“I’m getting better and I’m very happy the boss is giving me confidence little by little,” he told journalists via a remote press conference. “I still think I’m far away from my best and can bring much more to the team. It's true that there's a lot of competition in the team, but the team is working well.
“We must keep in mind that we played many games in a few days. Let's keep going and see if we can keep getting good results and who plays. The coach is managing the resources he has in the squad very well. When it’s your time to play, you have to be there, try to win your place in the team and wait for other opportunities.”
Unbeaten in our last nine fixtures throughout the Segunda División, Mboula believes a sustained period of seven clean sheets earlier on in the campaign has provided a strong foundation for attack to build on.
"The most important thing is not to concede," he continued. "Scoring goals is a question of streaks and goals will come. The important thing is that we create chances. Playing at home, we have to go out and win. We must get the three points against SD Ponferradina.”
