Jaume Costa and Antonio Raíllo reflect on our 1-0 defeat to Osasuna

The pair analysed our loss with club media

Jaume Costa and Antonio Raíllo were on post-match media duties after our 1-0 defeat to Osasuna. Aimar Oroz’s second-half goal was the difference at El Sadar. Find out what the pair had to say below:

Jaume Costa

"We leave with a bittersweet taste. I think the team has stood up at one of the most complicated places in LaLiga. It was a team that had not played in their stadium with their people for a long time. We knew they were going to press. I think we played a great first half, controlling the game, knowing what we were playing for and having chances to score, but then in the second half, in the first few minutes, they scored. It was a defensive mistake. He arrived alone in the area and scored a goal, and from that point on, we were weakened. We went for everything, but we were a bit behind. We will have a tough night, but tomorrow we will continue.

"It's a shame, to be honest. I didn't expect it, I thought someone was going to touch it a little bit. The truth is that I reacted late. I'm having chances, but I'm missing a goal to help the team. With hard work and effort you get things and that's what we're going to do. I'm going to keep on working and making the maximum effort until my body can take it, and to give everything for the team, which is the minimum they ask of us."

Antonio Raíllo

"We had been talking about it during the week that it was going to be a very even match, and that whoever took the lead would have a lot of chances to get the three points. It fell to them at the start of the second half. These are mistakes that need to be corrected. The team fought, fought hard to try to equalise, but they didn't manage to do so, so let's go for the next game".

"In the end, the line is very thin for teams that are in the middle of the table or fighting to stay up. Any detail is decisive for and against. We have to correct this, to work even harder. This is a very long fight - let's fight and keep working.”
