The winger and Iddrisu Baba were in action for their respective countries during a round of friendly fixtures

Lago Junior fulfilled his ‘dream’ of debuting with the Ivory Coast national team during a friendly defeat to Japan, while Iddrisu Baba was also in action for Ghana in a comfortable 5-1 victory over Qatar. Find out how the pair performed below:

Lago Junior
Last game: Japan 1-0 Ivory Coast
Date: Tuesday, October 13th 2020
Lago Junior made his debut for the Ivory Coast as an 81st minute substitute in a 1-0 friendly defeat to Japan. Naomichi Ueda’s late injury time winner proved to be the difference between the two sides as our winger also got to catch-up with former team-mate Take Kubo.

Iddrisu Baba
Last game: Ghana 5-1 Qatar
Date: Monday, October 12th 2020
Iddrisu Baba played the entirety of Ghana’s 5-1 friendly victory over Qatar. Tarique Fosu got the ball rolling in the 22nd minute before Almoez Ali levelled matters before the break. However, goals from Samuel Owusu, Caleb Ekuban and an André Ayew brace in the following 45 minutes ensured the Black Stars quickly bounced back from a 3-0 defeat to Mali a few days prior.
