RCD Mallorca joins Mares Circulares for a beach clean at Port de Sóller

Our academy sides helped clean up the beach and promote sustinability

We have continued our commitment to promoting sustainability on our island by partaking in a clean-up day on the beach of Port de Sóller with more than 90 volunteers from our academy.

Thanks to the collaboration of the City Council of Sóller, the Chelonia Association and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), almost 16 kilos of waste were removed

In addition to the clean up, data collected will be incorporated into a database for studies on the conservation of marine ecosystems.

Alfonso Diaz, the club's CEO of Business, said: “We are delighted to participate with Mares Circulares in this action with which we promote the protection of the biodiversity of the island of Mallorca, with special emphasis on the care of the marine environment and the preservation of its valuable resources, through this initiative of cleaning the beach of Port de Sóller with which we contribute to the conservation of our coastal ecosystems. Our commitment to sustainability and the environment is one of the main values that we strive to transmit to the younger members of our club and to society as a whole."
