Sergi Darder visits school children from Ciutat Antiga, Pere Garau and Son Ferriol

The midfielder spoke with school children on his experience and learnings

Sergi Darder met with school children from Ciutat Antiga, Pere Garau and Son Ferriol as part of the Fundació Reial Mallorca.

This initiative within our Juguis on juguis, guanyes!, Junts som millors! and Formem equip! programmes aims to bring the next generation of Mallorquinistas closer to our team.

Darder spoke about his own experiences in his long professional career, told anecdotes, gave advice and explained how happy he is on the island as well as signing autographs and taking pictures.

“During my career I have not been able to play every game in front of 30 people from my family, friends and acquaintances. To be able to do it now is the best thing there is,” explained the player from Artá, who also gave some advice to those boys and girls who share position with the ‘10’ Mallorquinista: ”Before receiving the ball, be all the time looking at what you have next to you and profile yourself well. That, for me, is the main thing in a midfielder”.

So far this year, six players in David López, Martin Valjent, Robert Navarro, Dani Rodríguez, Manu Morlanes and Darder have visited school children across the island.
