Our players are back and kicked off pre-season with a series of medical tests at the Juaneda Miramar Hospital and at the podiatry and biomechanics clinic Podoactiva.
The Mallorca Sports Clinic, a rehabilitation and recovery centre located in the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, will also be a point where Jagoba Arrasate's squad will carry out these medical tests before training starts on Thursday 10th July.
The director of RCD Mallorca's Medical and Performance Department, Adolfo Muñoz, explained what today's check-up at the Juaneda Miramar Hospital consisted of, which consisted of three basic tests: an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test.
He said: "In these first few days we do the tests to check that they are coming in correctly in terms of health, cardiology, weight and different parameters of physiotherapy and physical preparation. After that, they train on the 10th and beforehand we also do a blood test and check that everything is in order. They are very professional. They come very happy and very fit. They've been training all summer, so they're all very fit."
Cyle Larin, who played in the Gold Cup with Canada this summer, will join the squad at a later date.
We also spoke with various players who had this to say:
Dani Rodríguez: "A new season with renewed energy and the desire to have a great year. We want to have a very good year on a group and individual level. So I'm ready and prepared. I'm really looking forward to starting."
Martin Valjent: "These have been days to see family and friends, to enjoy and disconnect. Now we're back with all our energy."
Vedat Muriqi: "We are ready and really looking forward to playing in front of our fans."
