We hosted the presentation of the 51st edition of the emblematic Mallorcan walk Marxa de Güell a Lluc a Peu at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
The event, organised by the Grup Güell, brought together various institutional authorities and social representatives, reaffirming our promotion of the island's traditions.
Alfonso Díaz, CEO of Business of RCD Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, president of the Consell de Mallorca, Alejandro Sáez, councillor of Energy, Lourdes Roca, deputy mayor of Palma, and the Prior of Lluc, Francisco Bauzà, were present in the new Conference Room of the stadium.
During his speech, Alfonso Díaz said: "Grup Güell represents much more than a series of initiatives. It represents the heartbeat of our island, the transmission of fundamental values such as solidarity, shared effort, respect for our traditions and commitment to our identity."
He also proudly recalled that in 2024 the Peña Mallorquinista Grup Güell was reactivated, further strengthening the ties between the organisation and this historic association. In its commitment to support the activities of Grup Güell, RCD Mallorca will collaborate in various initiatives throughout the year such as La Trobada de la Gent Gran, La Marxa a Lluc a Peu and La subida al Castillo de Bellver. In all these events, the club will offer commemorative backpacks as a token of support and commitment.
To conclude the event, the Siurells were awarded to different bodies and organisations that volunteered their time during the emergency caused by the DANA in Valencia.
Among the award winners were the Firefighters of Mallorca, the Armed Forces, the Firefighters of Palma, Civil Protection, the emergency services, SAMU 061, IBANAT, the Local Police of Palma and the Inca Mallorca Solidària Association.
