Ezaki Badou remains one of the most respected names among our supporters.
Even decades later, his seven seasons and 200 matches at the club is still talked about having won the Zamora Trophy in the second division, helped us to promotions and saw us reach Copa del Rey finals in the late 80s and early 90s.
The legend spoke to our club media on the team, how we have performed this season and his memories of playing in red and black.
What does RCD Mallorca mean to you?
In Morocco if you say Mallorca, you say Ezaki Badou. And when you say Ezaki Badou you say Mallorca. People in Morocco follow Mallorca a lot. Mallorca, for me, is my family, it's my passion. I'm happy when they win and sad when they lose. I always follow Mallorca.
How do you see the current RCD Mallorca?
The club has changed a lot at every level. The infrastructure, there is a very nice pitch and good results as well. The club has grown a lot both financially and in sport. I am very happy about that.
What do you remember about Lluís Sitjar?
Lluís Sitjar was very good in its time, also its players. But times change and Mallorca is now at a higher level than before.
Do you still have a relationship with Miquel Contestí?
Miquel Contestí was more than a president for me, he was like a father and from that moment on we are like a family.
