Dani Rodríguez, Ángel and Ruíz de Galarreta analyse the draw against Valencia CF
The trio spoke to club media after our 2-2 draw at the Mestalla
Dani Rodríguez, Ángel and Iñigo Ruíz de Galarreta were on post-match media duties after we surrendered a two-goal lead in added time to draw 2-2 with Valencia CF. Find out what the trio had to say below:
On the match…
Dani Rodríguez: "We can't lose games like this. After going 2-0 up against a rival like Valencia CF at the end of the match, we have to change things. Until the red card, we had it under control. The referee didn't seem to want to blow the final whistle. All the little details went their way.”
Ángel Rodríguez: "We looked like fools. We played one of the best first halves of the season. After being down by one, everything went against us. We held on without conceding, but it got away from us. We have to learn from this because these are points that we lose. We have to learn from our mistakes. The way the game turned out, we have lost two points.”
Ruiz De Galarreta: "We leave with the feeling of having lost two points. We did a very good job. We were 2-0 up, but it's a shame that it got away from us. With very little we were down to ten.”
On the team's situation…
Dani Rodríguez: "We have to continue along this way of working. We have to trust in our work, which is very good. We are leaving the Mestalla and this is Primera División. We are looking forward to Wednesday with our people.”
Ángel Rodríguez: "There is still a lot of the league ahead. We have to know that the team has been doing well and that if we fight like this all season long, the team will achieve our objective.”
Ruiz De Galarreta: "We have to take a step forward because we've had a couple of games in which the points slipped away at the end. Now it's time to pick ourselves up and prepare for the home match against Sevilla CF. We will go for the points.”
