Dani Rodríguez, Aguirre, Valjent and Abdón analyse the 5-3 defeat to Girona

Find out what our players and boss had to say in their post-match interviews

Dani Rodríguez, Javier Aguirre, Martin Valjent and Abdón Prats were on post-match media duties following our 5-3 defeat to Girona at the Montilivi. Find out what the four had say below:

Dani Rodríguez:

"It's just one game, but it has to make us demand more of ourselves and look for the best version of each one of us. We have a badge to defend and that's not enough to play away from home. It has to be useful for us to learn and to wake up.”

Javier Aguirre:

"It was a bad match. I am the most responsible for this first half in which we gave a very poor showing. We didn't defend well, we didn't attack well and it's normal that Girona scored goals against us.

"We changed the scheme and found ourselves more comfortable on the pitch. We had more ball possession and more scoring chances. We made up the result a bit but the damage was already done."

Martin Valjent:

"In the first half the opposing team was much better. We tried to make up for it and at least the second half was a bit more dignified. In three days we have another opportunity against Barcelona to put in a different performance and try to get a good result."

Abdón Prats:

"Very happy for the two goals. It's a pity that they couldn't help, but I'm sure that the next goal will bring a lot of joy to Mallorquinismo and for them to be able to celebrate goals that add points.”
