Damia Sabater makes the 2016 Draft

Draft football Committee has met today at the Las Rozas Football City to choose the players name to become part of the Golden XI, Silver XI and Bronze XI from the Spanish academy. In a 55-man shortlist features one of our youngsters, Damia Sabater.

The example set by the Majorcan centrehalf shows through his whole career at the Real Mallorca academy, representing the “Sa Fàbrica” academy values through hard work and endeavour. At his 20, Damia has become a reference in the first-team squad and has a promising future ahead of him. His personality inside and outside the pitch convinced Fernando Vazquez to name him in his starting XI last season and to share dressing room this season with big names from whom he’s aprehending experience and professionalism. The quality of the Majorcan midfielder started to show early in the youngest youth teams. Together with Marco Asensio, now in the Spain senior squad, who has also been included in the squad, are the gratifying results of a great generation of talented Majorcan footballers.

The awards of the Spanish academy players are considered one of the best around the world. This year the Committee celebrates its eleventh edition.
