Abdón Prats says he and his team-mates are only going to get better as the season goes on ahead of our hosting of CE Sabadell this Sunday. 

Still in search of our first win of the season having been held to a 0-0 draw at RCD Espanyol and losing our campaign curtain raiser against Rayo Vallecano, the striker believes three points will be a step in the right direction.

“We must prepare for the match without relaxing and put everything into it. If we show the same aggression against CE Sabadell as we did at the Cornellá el Prat, we will have a good chance of winning.

“We have to give our all to achieve our goals which is to be as high [up the table] as possible. I think there's a great group and a technical staff that's come in and has started well.”

Having made his first start of the season against RCD Espanyol, Abdón says he’s not worried about the chances that will come his way up front.

“I was really looking forward to playing [against RCD Espanyol],” he continued. “I'm relaxed about the work I've been doing over the years and I'm sure the job will pay off. I think we played very well against RCD Espanyol who are one of the best teams in the division.

“Goals are not something I'm worried about. It’s true that a striker lives on goals but with age one knows that there are more important things like playing well. Soon we will celebrate an Abdon goal once again."
