Vicente Moreno: ‘We want to have the same image away from Son Moix’
The manager looked ahead to our clash against Levante at his pre-match press conference
Vicente Moreno says his side’s away form must improve ahead of our trip to Levante on Friday evening.
Having began his playing career in the city, the boss is keen to mark his managerial homecoming with a first win on the road following the international break.
“It’s a new opportunity to win away from home with all the weapons we have,” he told journalists at his pre-match press conference. “We will try to bring home more points away, the intention is to the be same team we are at home. Sometimes we have done that but not taken advantage of the good opportunities. It’s a bit of an urban legend that this team is a disaster away from home, but we wouldn’t be where we are today without previously been good away.
“Going to Valencia is always special, I was with Levante for two years where I debuted at 15 years of age in a friendly with the first team. I will also face a manager of a high level, who is a fantastic person and deserves success. We are going to try to and pour cold water on their party.”
On-loan striker Cucho Hernández was able to train with his new team-mates for the first time having undergone rehab with parent club Watford, and Moreno has been impressed with his start to life at Son Bibiloni.
“He is quickly integrating into the group, he has been in Spain for sometime and the United Kingdom,” he said. “The injury has meant he will ready sooner or later. There are some players you look forward to having success, but that comes having made a few marked steps.”
