Vicente Moreno says we’ve reached a crucial juncture in the season where adding points has become a necessity ahead of our clash with Real Betis on Friday evening.
Looking to register our first win on the road this season at the Benito Villamarín on Matchday 25, the manager believes his side must not shirk away from the task that lies ahead of them - starting with a trip to Andalusia.
“You have to try and add points, it’s an important moment in the season and we're in need of them,” he told journalists at his pre-match press conference. “You have to compete and we see ourselves with a chance of adding points. If you want to break this statistic we can’t back away from the challenge as we’re playing in an important stadium with a great fanbase.
“Real Betis always appears to be dangerous to me and it’s at a stadium which is especially difficult. Rubi appears to be a good trainer to me and has come in doing a fantastic job. By winning the game, we can get closer to the other sides.”
