Vicente Moreno: 'I'm motivated to get back to winning'

The boss previewed our clash with Valencia CF at his pre-match press conference

Vicente Moreno says he wants to get back to winning ways this Sunday against Valencia CF.

While we’ve only been able to register a point from our last six games, the boss believes three points against a reformed opposition could kickstart our acsension out of the relegation zone.

“I’m motivated to return to winning,” he told journalists at pre-match press conference. “We’ve been missing them and we need to add three points in order to get out of the bottom three and stay far away from the drop. In front of us we have a team of a high level, and we will see, unlike the last two games, if everything goes our way and we win.

“The scenario is different. They have changed manager. No game is the same, and I remember that in the Mestalla we were better in a first half with two setbacks. One of the penalties is not given now but you have to be better and win the match.

“You don’t compare the Valencia of Marcelina with the one now. Celades and his technical staff are very prepared and are getting a performance from the team. I’m glad they are doing well.”

Following the loan signing of Alejandro Pozo from Sevilla FC, Moreno says the youngster was a necessary reinforcement.

“He will help, he is the type of player that we didn’t have after the exit of Aridai who had asked to leave.”
