Vedat Muriqi, Predrag Rajković and Gio González reflected on our 1-0 win over Real Madrid. Nacho’s own goal in the 13th minute separated the two sides, while Rajković was the hero of the afternoon having stopped Marco Asensio from equalising with a penalty. Find out what the trio had to say below:
Vedat Muriqi
"We played against a great team and won three points that give us a bit of breathing space, but there are many games left. I hope we continue like this as a family, on the pitch, with the fans and all together.
"We had prepared a lot for this match. What we lacked in other matches like Cádiz and Getafe, we had today. We have to continue as we did today, regardless of who the opponent is. We have to continue like this.
"I have been here one year and the truth is that I feel at home. My family and I are very well, very comfortable.”
Gio González
"Well, the boss put me in that position and I am always ready to help the team and to play wherever I can, I always try to do my best. Today they put me in that position and I think I did my best.
"A lot of joy, happiness and pride. We worked for that, to get results and today we got it."
Predrag Rajković
"I feel happy because I helped the team win the penalty. Although that is my job to stop everything and I hope to continue to help the team.
"We had worked very intensively this week. We knew how they played and we had prepared all the details and in the match we put into practice everything we had prepared in training.
“We were very strong in defence. I think the team can be happy with the work and the fight they have shown."
