Salva Sevilla, Antonio Raíllo and Vedat Muriqi analyse our 2-1 win over Cádiz CF

The trio spoke to club media as we recorded our first win of the new year

Salva Sevilla, Antonio Raíllo and Vedat Muriqi spoke to club media after we beat Cádiz CF 2-1 at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. Penalties from Salva Sevilla and Muriqi saw us come from behind to get our first win of 2022.

Salva Sevilla: "It was a very important match and against a direct rival. We were coming from a bad streak and we needed to get the three points. The fans have been key. It's not easy to turn the score around, but the crowd was incredible. This relationship must always be there – things will work out for sure. Today we had personality and we had clear chances. I was confident to shoot the first one, but in the second one I saw that I was going to score. These details are important.”

Antonio Raíllo: "I haven't played since August 14 and I felt good. We footballers like to be on the pitch, and even more so in matches like this. Maybe we don't place as much importance on this, but the fans are very important. We have to achieve our objective by all moving in the same direction together. There was not a time, neither today or on other days, that the team thought about defeat, we only thought about the work. We were confident and finally we got three important points.”

Vedat Muriqi: "It was an important victory. In my first game here I managed to score, but above all, I hope the team wins and gets these three important points. When you are a striker you always want to score - that's why I asked Salva for the first penalty, but he let me have the second and I am very grateful for everything and all my teammates who have welcomed me so well.”
