Manolo Reina, Matthew Hoppe and Jaume Costa analyse the draw against Villarreal CF

The skipper and two debutants reflected on the deadlock at the Visit Mallorca Estadi

Manolo Reina, Matthew Hoppe and Jaume Costa were on post-match media duties following our 0-0 draw against Villarreal CF. Find out what the pair had to say below:

On the game...

Manolo Reina: "Anything that means getting points in this division is good. We knew we were going to play against a team like Villarreal CF that likes to have the ball a lot and makes you run and, in the end, we had to play our game. When we had our chances, we tried to take advantage of them. At the end of the game, we came close to creating danger for them.”

Matthew Hoppe: "I'm very happy with my debut in LaLiga. I think we played a good game. It was a pity that it was offside - despite the celebration - I was close to scoring my first goal in this shirt. I'm very happy to have been able to play after being here for a few weeks.”

Jaume Costa: "Positive feelings. At home we went out to win, being aware that today was a very difficult match because they are a very good team. I came to do my bit and I feel very good. I hope and want the team to be at the top. It was a very special match for me because of what Villarreal means to me. I have worked all week with the psychologist to leave the emotions out.”

On the match against Real Madrid and the team...

Manolo Reina: "We worked hard as a team that gives everything. In the second half things were more even. We had our chances, but that's how it is. Keeping a clean sheet will always get you something. I'm very happy. Now we have to think about Madrid. They are a difficult opponent and, like all matches in LaLiga, they will be very difficult. We will try to give them a scare.”

Matthew Hoppe: "Every player's dream is to play matches like the one against Real Madrid on Wednesday. It will be a challenge to play at the Bernabeu. For me and for the whole team.”

Jaume Costa: "I'm not surprised by this team. On a day-to-day basis this team works hard and we want more. It's very exciting to have the fans by our side. They are fundamental.”
