Luis García Plaza: “We will pick ourselves up and go for it against Real Sociedad”

The boss spoke to the media after our 1-0 defeat to Valencia CF at the Visit Mallorca Estadi

Luis García Plaza was on post-match media duties after our 1-0 defeat. Gabriel’s goal provded to be the difference on a frustrating afternoon at the Visit Mallorca Estadi. Find out what the boss had to say about the result, his red card and the performance.

On the match…

"I always say it, football is played on the pitch, but it is decided in the box. When you look at today's numbers, you don't usually lose these type of games, but this is football. We have two defeats in a row that we don't deserve, but that's how it is.

“I think we were better. A goal would have given us a lot of encouragement. After his great goal, the team got back on its feet. We have to keep going, that's how it is. We'll get up and go for it on Wednesday.”

On his red card…

"I've been sent off twice in the league. One for saying that we didn’t get a red card and the one today for asking for a yellow card. It's hard to assimilate because I see coaches who do more than me and I don't know. I'm devastated.

“I don't deserve it. I do much less than others. It is not normal what they have done to me. What hurts me the most is that I won't be able to be on the bench.”
