Jose Copete says joining RCD Mallorca and making his debut in LaLiga was a dream come true.
The defender joined the club on a free transfer in the summer and has been a regular feature as part of a back three, although our centre back is willing to play wherever is required to help the team.
"I have always known that I wanted to be a footballer and I have been lucky enough to be able to achieve it,” he told club media. “I've always liked defending and playing in the back. It has always caught my attention. It's true that in other stages I've been able to play in a more advanced position, but I've always liked the role of defender.
"The truth is that it was very nice to join. We were very excited at home. We spent some very nervous days. The truth is that we could not refuse an offer from a LaLiga side. It was news that meant fulfilling the dream of having reached LaLiga.”
