Javier Aguirre: “It is not going to be an easy game”
The boss spoke to the media ahead of our hosting of Elche
Javier Aguirre says he expects a tough game this Saturday ahead of out hosting of Elche.
We are looking to continue our unbeaten form this year at home, although the boss believes that we cannot get complacent and that we will have to fight for all three points.
"Elche is a team that competes very well,” he told journalists at a pre-match press conference. “They deserve all my respect. It's not going to be an easy game. Far from it. We are going to go out very focused as if it were Real Madrid or Barcelona.
"Every game is important and in each one we go out to win. We always think about the three points. At home you obviously count on the support of the fans. And, as we've seen, we've performed better at home than away. Like almost every team.
"It's true that it would be fantastic to get two good results to put us in a more realistic chance of achieving our objective sooner and then we could hope for other things, but at the moment these matches are very important and being at home and two in a row, they take on greater relevance.”
