Javi Llabrés, Javier Aguirre, Morlanes and Valjent assess the draw against Villarreal

Find out what our stars and the boss had to say about the 1-1 draw

Javi Llabrés, Javier Aguirre, Morlanes and Valjent were on post-match media duties as we drew 1-1 with Villarreal. Find out what our stars and the boss had to say below:

Javi Llabrés

"I don't know how to explain it, I'm still assimilating everything that has happened. I went in to try to score the goal and look in the 90th minute it arrived."

"I’m very happy, the first thing I've done is look at the fans up there and I've gone crazy. I'm happy, this is a dream and proud."

"The important thing today was to score, it's clear that we wanted to win, but the way the match went we played with a line of four, and we tried to go for a draw."

Javier Aguirre

"Yes, in the end it tastes good. They scored a goal at the end of the first half when we were not at our best. In the second half we matched their enthusiasm, we had more of the ball, we defined better and in the end this point is a reward for us."

"I'm especially excited for (Llabrés) because he didn’t score in the few times he had played. He trains very well and deserves to play more. But things hadn't worked out for him and today he finally had a prize for his effort."

"We have the cup and to win it at home would be nice for the people."

Manu Morlanes

"It's true that when you score at the end it always tastes good. It was a tough match, a match in which they subdued us at times. But we knew we were coming to suffer, we were coming to compete and there were moments when we had to be mentally strong and I think this is one of the keys of this team. We know how to suffer when we don't have the ball and we know how to stay together. In the end we were rewarded with Javi's goal, which I'm very happy for him because he's had chances in other matches and he didn't get them."

"I couldn't take it anymore, my legs hurt, my head... but it was the team's merit and the changes that worked out well, and we are already thinking about the cup match, which is very exciting.

"Those who know me know that this is my home. I came here very young and they formed me as a player and as a person. I wish them the best of luck until the end of the season."

Martin Valjent

"He is a player who gets injured very little and it has been an unpleasant injury. With certain uncertainties about the timing. Obviously he is not yet at one hundred percent but he has helped us a lot just like Jaume."

"It's very demanding to play as a full-back, it's a change of position. But I understood that the coach needed this. I tried to do my best with my characteristics and think about helping the team."

"Every match is different, one a goal was useful to pass a round and another to tie the match. This speaks of the team's mentality that never gives up."
