Jagoba Arrasate spoke to the media ahead of our trip to Real Sociedad for matchday six of LaLiga. Find out what the boss had to say below:
On physical condition: "We were very tired. It's been two days, and those who played on Sunday did practically nothing today. We'll need freshness, and few players will be back."
On goals conceded: "It's more about the team's defensive behavior and concepts, beyond the formation. What we said about being more difficult for the opponent. It's true that we've had a difficult schedule, but we've conceded more than we have to. Keeping a clean sheet is synonymous with scoring points and brings you closer to winning."
On the goalkeeper: "Leo Román will play."
On mental state: "When you analyse it calmly, you realise we have to improve, but we drew against Atlético, which should be like a full stop. That point boosted our morale, but we have to compete right away, and tomorrow we play a very important match against an opponent who started similarly to us. We have to compete very well to get a good result."
On Jan Virgili's absence: "It doesn't upset the plans because I already know he's out. From there, we'll get Javi Llabrés back, and those who are there will have to step up, like he did in the final stretch of the match."
On motivation: "I'm very motivated. Things started off poorly, but the most important thing is that the team has to win. The challenge is to turn that around, and I'm focused, focused, and motivated on that, and I'm confident in what I can contribute."
On Real Sociedad: "Real Sociedad had us spoiled by being a regular in Europe, having great seasons, winning a cup final... little by little, they've been losing important players, and now they're in a process of change. I think they've done well in every game, but maybe when they've had a good first half, they haven't been as good in the second, or vice versa. Tomorrow they also have that need to win. I still see a team with very good players, a stadium that will push hard, and a coach who will improve the team."
On the game plan against Real Sociedad: "Being more proactive sometimes isn't about the formation, but about the game plan. We always have a plan and we have to believe in it. There will be changes, but there are people eager to come in, and I trust them."
On Vedat Muriqi: "He's on target, and we have to take advantage of it. What we have to do is capitalize on the goals he can score. I hope his good form continues."
On the left-back: "Lato and Mojica have healthy competition, and I see it as fairly even right now. Lato had a good game at the Bernabéu, and there will be options for him this week."
On Javi Llabrés and Marash Kumbulla: "Javi is doing very well. He's done a good job recovering and re-adapting. He's available to help us tomorrow. Marash has a hamstring injury, and it's normal for us to lose him for a few weeks."
On line-up changes: "I'm convinced that those who start tomorrow will do well. If they do well, the opportunity opens up for those players."
On Javier Olaizola: "We really believe in the process. We really believe in him, and he's a projected first-team player. He's also a left-footed center back, something we don't have, and with Marash out, we want him with us."
On the importance of the week: "It's key, and that's why it was important to start scoring points, and in these two games we have to finish it off. But in LaLiga you either do things right or your moment won't come. We hope that point on Sunday will be like a springboard to finishing it off this week because it's very important."
On the need for both teams: "In the First Division, we're always under pressure. It's time to stay calm, which doesn't mean we have to relax or let up, but knowing that we're just getting started, that we're behind on points, and that tomorrow's game is very important."
