Jagoba Arrasate looked ahead to our hosting of Valencia CF this Friday evening at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix. Find out what he had to say below:
On players available: In general, the team is well and looking forward to tomorrow's game. It's true that we've recovered almost everyone. Only Takuma is missing but he's already trained with the group and hopefully he'll be fit next week. Raíllo has trained well over the last two days and Larin, Abdón and Maffeo have trained well. Tomorrow we will see what level they are at.
On Muriqi's sending off: It's been a difficult week for him. The fact that it's only one game reassures him because then we play on Tuesday. We have given him a lot of support, he has trained well and tomorrow he will help us from the sidelines.
On three games in one week: It's true that it's Friday but people are fine and we're only thinking about tomorrow's game. Then four days later we have a tough opponent and three days later we have an away trip. That's where the changes will come in, but I'm not worried about them now.
On Maffeo's return: What a coach wants is to have doubts in any of the positions. Mateu had a great game and Maffeo had been doing very well. Now it's time to decide. When you have two players that you know are guaranteed, in the end that's what a coach wants. Whoever plays will do well.
On Valencia: I expect a team with renewed spirit and high self-esteem. I expect a great Valencia, coming off the back of a great season last year. They are a very dangerous team and we will have to do things very well.
On goalscoring: It's true that we scored three goals the other day and that improves the statistics. Away from home the last two games we had generated very little and the other day we scored three goals and had a few more chances. At home I think the team is generating. Tomorrow we are going to need patience with Valencia's line of five. It's not going to be easy to find space in that defensive framework. We have to attack with order.
On Rubén Baraja: I've known him for years and we've played against each other many times. I think he is the ideal coach for Valencia and he has shown that. This year they have started badly but little by little they are showing what they are capable of. Besides, they have two games in hand.
On the winner against Las Palmas: Within the match there are mini-matches. Their first goal is a rebound that goes in and that changes everything a bit. They come on top, the atmosphere in the stadium, they give you the penalty a few minutes later... In 5 minutes a game that seemed to be under control is complicated. You never know what football is going to throw at you and it showed in the play that gave us the victory. No game is won or lost until the referee blows the whistle.
On winning form at home: At home the schedule has been difficult but we have to start winning more. If we win tomorrow the numbers will be better and that's the intention. With the help of the crowd it could be a nice Friday that would catapult us to 24 points.
On VAR: It's a bit of a mismatch if we get into those situations. The other day on the bounce it benefited us but in theory it didn't benefit us initially because we had a player sent off. The rules in hand tell us that it was well refereed. We're going to believe in that if it happens again, if it remains an isolated action then we'll see that it was unheard of. I am one of those who think that it has to go into blatant things. I understand that work is being done to improve these situations.
On Javi Llabrés: He's fine now, he's been training well for a while and he's at the same level as the others. We have played more with Darder and Robert who are not pure wingers. I think Javi is ready and you'll see that in the next few games.
