Galarreta, Augustinsson and Morlanes analyse our 2-0 loss to Sevilla

The trio spoke to the media after a frustrating afternoon at the Sánchez-Pizjuán

Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta, Ludwig Augustinsson and Manu Morlanes shared their thoughts on our 2-0 loss to Sevilla with club media. Youssef En-Nesyri and Bryan Gil were on target in the first half as we succumbed to a frustrating defeat at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Find out what the trio had to say below:

Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta

"We came out with a lot of energy, but it's true that they kept pushing us back. They were putting in crosses, getting into the box and that's where we usually feel strong, but if you make a mistake, as happened today, you're 2-0 away from home. In the second half we tried, but it was difficult to turn it around

"Today we knew that Sevilla were going to press us a lot and if you have a small mistake against a team with this quality, you pay for it.”

Ludwig Augustinsson

"It was a complicated game. They are a very strong team. They had the ball and we had to run a lot. It's difficult for us, especially when you've already conceded two goals.

"Logically, when you play you want to win and I'm disappointed about the result. We have to recover quickly because we have another game next week which is an important game at home."

Manu Morlanes

"We leave hurt because we came with the intention of getting something, getting a win. We came across a very strong Sevilla that, although they are now in the lower positions, we all know the potential of their players.

"Today I think they played a very good game. At the beginning it was difficult for us to link passes that allowed us to get into the opponent's half and at the end, a bit desperate, we had some chances that we didn't manage to materialise.

"They have been very good both in defence and in attack, but we leave hurt. There is no time for regret, this team has shown that there are reasons to believe and continue to improve.”
