Switching on the Christmas tree lights at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix

Our new activity welcomed fans of all ages with first-team players hosting the evening

RCD Mallorca celebrated its first-ever official Christmas tree lighting this afternoon in the plaza outside the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

This event, intended to become a new tradition for the club, drew a large crowd of fans of all ages, creating a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.

From 5:30 pm, Samu Costa and Mateo Joseph participated in a meet and greet at the club store, signing jerseys, scarves and official merchandise for an hour and a half.

The presence of both players generated a significant turnout, with long queues and a very friendly atmosphere between the players and the fans. The celebration also featured a performance by the Sant Josep Obrer Youth Choir, which added a musical touch to the Christmas afternoon.

At 7:00 p.m., after a few words from Alfonso Díaz, CEO of RCD Mallorca Business, wishing everyone happy holidays, the players were in charge of pressing the button that lit up the tree for the first time.

To mark the occasion, the club offered attendees hot chocolate, ensaimadas (a type of Mallorcan pastry), and mulled wine, creating a warm atmosphere around the lighting ceremony and reinforcing the Christmas spirit.

The high turnout reflects the strong bond between RCD Mallorca and its fans, as well as the club's commitment to continue promoting initiatives that bring Mallorca supporters closer together and keep alive the traditions that shape their identity. With this first lighting ceremony, the club begins a celebration that aims to become an essential annual event on the Mallorca calendar.
