Match Report: Sevilla FC 1-1 RCD Mallorca

Martin Valjent’s late goal secures us a point at the Sánchez Pizjuán

Martin Valjent’s injury time equaliser saw us register a point against Sevilla FC at the Sánchez Pizjuán.

Jagoba Arrasate selected Valjent at centre back on his 150th appearance in LaLiga while Vedat Muriqi led the line for his 100th appearance for the club.

There was limited action in the opening exchanges with Dominik Grief being called into action to make a handful of routine saves.

We would go into the break a goal down as the hosts took the lead in injury time when Kike Salas reacted first to a loose ball in the box to volley home from close range.

We came out the second half looking to provide an instant response as Takuma Asano came close from inside the six-yard box but the angle was against him.

Isaac and Saul had the best chances of the second half for the hosts as we looked to hit Sevilla FC on the counter attack.

We got our reward in injury time as Valjent finished from a tight angle to ensure we headed home with a point.
