Dani Rodríguez, Martin Valjent and Abdón Prats reflect on our 2-1 win over Deportivo Alavés

Find out what the trio had to say after an important victory in our fight for survival

Dani Rodríguez, Martin Valjent and Abdón Prats couldn’t hide their delight after our 2-1 win over Deportivo Alavés. Two first-half goals from Abdón Prats and Vedat Muriqi saw us overcome our relegation rivals Deportivo Alavés 2-1 in what could be a decisive game in our fight for survival. Find out what the trio had to say below.

Dani Rodriguez

"You can be more or less successful, but we have to leave everything out there on the field and today it was like that. That's what being a Mallorcan is all about: suffering, but when you suffer like that and win, you're happy. I am very happy for the teammates and the people. They were three very important points and we have taken another step forward.”

Martin Valjent

"We needed the victory, just as we needed fans to keep dreaming about our goal. Today we saw a team that really wants it, that showed all its character and desire against a direct rival. The fans are aware that if they want a team in LaLiga, they have to support us and we are going to give it our all.”

Abdón Prats

"Tears came to my eyes when the match was about to end. It is an incredible satisfaction and this is the line we have to follow until the end. I'm very happy to have scored my first goal in LaLiga at home, especially because of the importance. I knew my moment would come and I'm very happy for this and the joy of getting three points for the team.”
